Hon. Kiongo Kagenyo

Vice Treasurer

is the Vice-Treasurer of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA), an ardent believer in the rule of law hinged on the tenets of justice, fairness and equity. An alumnus of Nyandarua High School, he joined Kenyatta University, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2015, laying the academic foundation for his illustrious legal career, finessing the same with a PostGraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law, before signing the Roll of Advocates of the High Court of Kenya in 2018. Kiongo joined the Judiciary in 2021 and has served as a Resident Magistrate and Deputy Registrar of both the High Court and the Environment and Land Court at Kwale Law Courts, and is currently serving at Milimani Small Claims Court. Before joining the Bench, he served as a Prosecution Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, serving at Lamu and Homa Bay counties, and whilst at the service, he championed for the formation and registration of a Union of Public Prosecutors in the country. Throughout his career, Kiongo has consistently upheld the principles of the rule of law, professionalism, and impartiality, ensuring that justice is dispensed timeously, without fear, favour or any form of bias. Kiongo campaigned for election on the pillars of, and which he undertook to uphold, integrity and fiscal responsibility to the financial stewardship of the Association and unwavering dedication and commitment to the Association ensuring that it continues to thrive as a beacon of constitutionalism, rule of law and full realization of the optimal welfare of the Judges and Judicial Officers. His goal is to bring about positive change in the legal and social landscape, extinguish classism and catalyze the realization of a society of equals in a happier, safer and healthier world to live in.
